Position Summary: We’re looking for a dedicated Piano Instructor to join our team. This is a part-time, in-person position for private lessons. You’ll teach students ranging from young beginners to advanced teens and adult hobbyists.
Job Summary
The Piano Instructor will provide engaging, individualized piano instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels. Candidates should be confident working with both children and adults in a fun, structured, and musically enriching environment.
General Accountabilities
Teach private piano lessons in-studio
Develop customized lesson plans based on each student’s goals and progress
Maintain a positive, motivating learning environment
Prepare students for recitals and other performance opportunities
Communicate regularly with parents about student progress
Arrive on time and maintain a professional, friendly demeanor
Job Qualifications
Proficient in piano performance and pedagogy (degree in music is a plus)
Prior teaching experience with children and/or teens preferred
Ability to teach various styles (classical, pop, jazz, etc.) a plus
Strong communication and organizational skills
Reliable transportation and availability on weekday afternoons and/or Saturdays
Enthusiastic, warm, and student-focused teaching style
Bonus Points If You:
Can accompany students or teach some basic improvisation
Love coffee, chord charts, and making music fun
