Job Details: Job Location: Forest Grove Mill and Resource Office - Gaston, OR 97119, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $28.00 - $35.00 Hourly, Job Shift: Any, Stimson Lumber Company in Gaston, ORis seeking an experienced Filerto join our team in our saw filing department. Schedule: Full-time, Day or Swing shift. Starting Pay: Base pay for this skilled position will start at $28.00 to $35.00 per hour. People with significant knowledge and experience may come in at a higher level. Overtime: This position is eligible for Overtime at time and a half. Shift Differential: We offer differential pay for both swing shift and graveyard. Healthcare: Stimson pays over 80% of the premiums for healthcare coverage for full-time employees, including medical, dental and vision. 401(k): Stimson provides a 100% match on the first 6% of your pay when you contribute to your 401(k) retirement account. Profit Sharing: Contributions are deposited annually into your 401(k) account for Profit Sharing, up to 3% of your pay. Bonus: This position is bonus eligible and will receive a discretionary bonus in years when the company and location are profitable. Paid Time-Off: Position offers 9 paid holidays and 2 weeks of paid vacation. Paid sick leave is available up to 40 hours per year. Responsibilities and Duties Be competent and proficient with multiple different saws but primarily files 1-2 types of saws. Maintain and repair saws and related equipment at the plant (repair cracks and replace teeth including carbide and swage tooth). Be able to bench both band and round saws. Complete required preventative maintenance tasks. Assist in machine center alignments. Handle all foundational saw filing duties and responsibilities. Provide direction for those requiring extensive experience or expert knowledge. Knife grinding as applicable at the plant. Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 5+ years saw filing experience or has completed a filing trainee program, with certification. Demonstrated ability to: fit, bench and repair round saws and band saws and complete saw changes. Strong understanding of machines, saws and production flow. Ability to stand 8 - 10 hours per day, lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to complete repetitive upper body motions. Experience with swage, shape, hammer saws, changing edger saws and guides Who is Stimson Lumber?
