Although you will primarily work from home, occasional in-person meetings or visits to local schools may be required to better assess student needs and coordinate with educators and families.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' psychosocial needs, identifying emotional, mental, and social factors that may affect their academic performance and social interactions.

  • Develop tailored intervention plans in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff, targeting specific academic and behavioral goals.
  • \n
  • Provide counseling and support to students to help them cope with stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices.

  • Advocate for students' rights, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services within the school and community.
  • \n
  • Facilitate workshops and support groups that educate students and families about mental health awareness and coping strategies.
  • \n
  • Monitor students’ progress and adjust care plans as necessary, maintaining close communication with all stakeholders involved in the student’s education.
  • \n
  • Document all assessments, progress notes, and interactions thoroughly in electronic health record (EHR) systems, adhering to confidentiality and ethical standards.

  • Stay informed about the latest social work practices and regulations, attending relevant training and workshops to enhance your professional knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students within the school system, ranging from elementary through high school levels. You will also work closely with families, offering guidance and support in addressing complex issues such as familial stressors, behavioral challenges, and transitions that impact students’ educational experiences.

Qualifications\n

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • \n
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a social work role, ideally within educational or community settings.
  • \n
  • In-depth knowledge of social work principles, as well as issues related to the educational sector and youth mental health.

  • Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills.
  • \n
  • Empathetic and compassionate approach to working with students and their families, fostering trust and rapport.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for working effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Competence in electronic health record (EHR) systems and technological tools for remote service delivery.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working in school settings with children and adolescents is highly preferred. Familiarity with community resources available for students and families will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
